Having had the opportunity to live in Florence for 6 months, I think I deserve some credibility for great Italian cooking. The amazing thing about this place is the sampler plates. You can sample steaks(3), pastas and salads. In the steak sampler, the blueberry steak is so amazing you will end up ordering your own. This place is memorable and a must must if you are in Firenze. If you can't afford getting to Europe, the owners opened a US location in San Diego which I am yet to try.

Funny Farm Hostel Switzerland
This place is more like a 5 star hotel. If your ever feeling adventurous and end up in Interlaken Switzerland, this is the coolest place to stay. At normal hostel price(about 25 euros a night) you stay in a huge resort style hostel with two basement clubs, a bar that serves awesome food. You can sign up for thrilling sports like skydiving or night sledding right in the hostel. Oh and did I mention the view from your window?

I flew to Barcelona from Italy for 15 euro each way. Airline is safe and reliable, just one catch; you usually fly about an hour outside the major city you're trying to get to but buses and local trains are cheap and always available. Happy Travels!
